Content day checklist for a calm, productive shoot

A content day checklist covers four stages: plan the looks and shot list a week out, confirm set, crew and verification two days out, pack the kit the night before, and run the day on a timed schedule.

Use the lists below as your template for every shoot.

One week before the shoot

  • Decide the goal. How many photos and clips do you need for the next two to four weeks of posts and teasers?
  • Pick the set and shoot type. Check that the listing allows your type: Lifestyle, Swimwear, Lingerie or Implied. Explicit only where the owner opted in in writing.
  • Build a looks list. Two looks per two hours is a realistic pace.
  • Write a shot list per look: wide, medium, close, detail, vertical clip.
  • Book crew: photographer, videographer if you sell clips, hair and makeup, stylist for three or more looks.
  • Confirm every person on set and start their ID and selfie verification.
  • Order or rent outfits and jewelry. The Shop has lingerie for photoshoots and jewelry rental for members.

Budget check

Add up set hours, crew hours and edits. If the total is close to a monthly plan, compare. Production at $999/month ($499/month billed yearly) includes one six hour day with a photographer or videographer, basic hair and makeup and 60 edited photos plus 10 edited clips. The pricing page has every plan.

Two days before

  • Confirm call times with crew in writing.
  • Confirm set hours, address access and house rules. On FansLuxury, the address appears in your booking.
  • Check verification status for everyone. Pending checks do not join the set.
  • Check the weather for outdoor scenes and plan an indoor backup.
  • Share the moodboard with crew: colors, poses, references.
  • Plan meals and water. Long days without food show on camera.

The night before

  • Steam and hang outfits in look order, with shoes and jewelry bagged per look.
  • Pack skin prep, body makeup, fashion tape, silicone covers, safety pins, lint roller.
  • Charge phones and power banks for behind the scenes clips.
  • Pack a robe and slides for moves between sets.
  • Sleep. It is the cheapest retouching there is.

The day, hour by hour

Here is a six hour villa day that works for most creators.

Time What happens
0:00 to 1:30 Hair and makeup, crew sets lights in the first location
1:30 to 2:30 Look 1, interiors, photo then video
2:30 to 2:45 Touch up and outfit change
2:45 to 3:45 Look 2, terrace or pool
3:45 to 4:15 Break, food, quick review of shots on the camera
4:15 to 5:15 Look 3, golden hour exteriors
5:15 to 5:45 Vertical clips and behind the scenes
5:45 to 6:00 Teardown and walk through with the owner or host

Rules on set

  • Only people named on the booking are on set.
  • Respect the house rules: off limits rooms, furniture, pool rules.
  • No house numbers, logos or views that reveal the address.
  • Keep the shoot inside the allowed shoot type. The full rules are on creator shoot rules.

After the shoot

  • Ask the photographer for a quick selects gallery within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Mark favorites per look and note crop needs for vertical posts.
  • Confirm the number of final edits and any clip lengths.
  • Plan the posting order across the next weeks.
  • Leave a review note for yourself: what worked, what to change.

Delivery

On FansLuxury plans, edited photos and clips land in your private delivery folder. Standard delivery is seven days after the shoot, Elite gets 72 hour express delivery, and vertical cuts for social teasers come on Premium and up.

Make the next day easier

Save the checklist and timing as your template. In the FansLuxury Shoot Planner you can save shoot plans with city, set, crew and output and reuse them. Agencies running several creators should read how to build a production calendar for creators.

Mistakes that cost the most time on set

  • Starting makeup late and eating into paid set hours.
  • Shooting looks out of order and rehanging outfits mid day.
  • Forgetting the vertical version until the last look.
  • Leaving behind the scenes clips to the end, when everyone is tired.

Questions

How many looks can I shoot in one content day?

Three to four looks in six hours, with time for makeup, breaks and teardown. More looks means fewer shots per look.

What should I bring to a lingerie shoot?

Steamed pieces in look order, nude underwear for fittings, fashion tape, a robe, slides and body makeup for even skin.

Do I need hair and makeup on set the whole day?

No. Book the first two hours and short touch ups. On FansLuxury plans, basic hair and makeup is included from Production up.

How do I avoid running out of time?

Time each look, keep breaks short and shoot photo and video in the same setup before moving.
